Campus

Our campus spans four acres and is situated in Half Moon Bay, a charming residential neighborhood just a short walk from Main Street. We are grateful to be surrounded by the stunning natural landscape of San Mateo County Coast and often incorporate it into our educational experience by utilizing local beaches, forests, and community spaces.

At Sea Crest, we prioritize environmental sustainability and weave it into our curriculum. Our younger students explore the local ecology through visits to tide pools and conservation areas, while upper lower school students manage our recycling program and visit the local landfill to understand the impact of waste. Additionally, we generate an average of 73% of our own power through solar panels located on the gym roof.

Since our establishment in 1996, we have consistently responded to the evolving needs of our students. Our campus features a main classroom building, a sports and performance facility, an Innovation Lab, and a second floor. We have also renovated our outdoor spaces and added new areas such as the Reef, a community and eating space, a Marine Science lab, a Library/Tree House, and an Art Studio. All of these spaces are thoughtfully designed with our students in mind and are flexible and adaptable for students in JK-8.

Our Innovation Lab is fully equipped with hand, power, and technology tools, while our Science Lab provides everything students need to conduct experiments and use the scientific method. Additionally, our music and theatre classes have access to a large rehearsal and recording studio and a flexible multipurpose classroom for drama performances.

We believe in providing our students with a variety of learning environments and offer both individual and group workspaces. Our 21 core classrooms are designed with a developmentally-appropriate, academically-engaging, and community-minded approach. Our outdoor spaces are also designed to provide our students with the benefits of daily outdoor time. These spaces include a field, playground, trail, creative play space, sound garden, and an amphitheater for learning and performances.
